Generate Websites with Deep Learning

This posting discusses how you can generate websites with deep learning.

When it comes to software development, there are two types; one is the back-end the other is the front-end development. As the name suggests, back end development is the development that goes on behind the scenes; it includes everything which the user is not able to see, while the front end development is something which the user can interact and check themselves.

Designing website layouts has not been that easy. Designers and developers work round the clock to generate the best website. There are some essential features which a developer has to consider while working on the site:

  • User experience: When you put the site on the world-wide-web, it means you are giving access to every person. So, you need to develop the right website, which aligns with the taste of your audience.

  • Responsive: You need to check whether the website is responsive on all the devices. As there are many devices and operating systems, it is a challenging task to make the website responsive on all the platforms.

  • Integration: The website needs many other supporting tools so that it can function properly. As it has to interact with multiple services, integration is a major challenge in this scenario. Even a perfectly designed website is useless if it is not able to communicate with third party services.

With the recent developments in deep learning, it has become easy to auto-generate the pages of the website.

Generate Websites With Deep learning in front-end development

Deep learning involves inference and training. Here artificial neural networks have to be trained.

So, what are neural networks?

Neural networks, are a series of algorithms endeavored to recognize the underlying relationships in a data set. In neural networks, the layers are made up of nodes. It is a place where computation takes place, loosely patterned on the neuron inside the human brain. It combines the input from data with a set of coefficients.

Find an example, how a neural network can be trained for coding a CSS or HTML website.

This is a design image which is given to the neural network:

The network converts this image into a HTML markup:

You then gets the output as:

In the world of finance, there are some of the basics of the neural networks, which is assisting in the development of processes such as algorithmic trading, time-series forecasting, credit risk modeling, securities classification, and constructing the proprietary indicators.

In front-end development, after the training of the neural network, users then feed the datasets into the neural network, which has not been trained with the right answers. The neural networks then become capable of analyzing and understanding the output and input accordingly.

There are mainly two forms of data, which the front-end developers use for training a neural network:

  • Whiteboard sketches

  • Screenshots of GUI

Both of these have their own codes. When the sketches and screenshots are analyzed, the neural network finds ways for coding the images in the CSS or HTML. For the images having text, networks go through different steps belonging to the text recognition.

When a neural network follows these essential steps, it helps to leverage the knowledge of objects, design layouts, and positions to generate code for the design elements.

Deep learning is changing the front-end development process to a great extent. It is increasing the prototyping speed while lowering any obstruction for building the software.

Below is another example, how a hand-made prototype of the website design can instantly generate an HTML website:

Neural networks not only helps in developing the HTML code right from scratch, it makes its foundation based on the patterns being used by a simple website such as display the Hello World.
